Growing grapes and making
wine is one of agriculture's oldest and most romantic industries. Success
requires persistence, patience, passion and money. The wine industry is
enjoying a resurgence of interest and many are hoping to realize their
dream. But those who are reaping the rewards will tell you that success
depends on doing the homework before jumping in. With that in mind, Iowa
State University Extension, the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture and
the Agricultural Marketing Resource Center created the Total Wine Package video
as a tool to help Iowans and Midwesterners to become better informed.
The video helps to
provide answers to key questions asked by people about a vineyard or
winery business. The video is in three sections; Exploring the Opportunity, Behind the Scene, and Growing the Business, Selling the Business. The video is available over the Internet as streaming video.
The video is available in a DVD format by sending a check made payable to Iowa
State University in the amount of $25 to:
