  • PEST MANAGEMENT

    Plant disease identification and management. Iowa State University operates a plant disease clinic. Samples may be submitted for identification and subsequent recommendations for control of all diseases.     • Extension Specialist in Plant Pathology. Dr. Mark Gleason, Professor, Department of Plant Pathology,313 Bessey Hall, Iowa State University, Ames, IA 50011. Ph.515-294-0579. Dr. Gleason would be able to provide assistance in the management of all plant health problems associated with plant pathology. Dr. Gleason has conducted research in many horticultural crops, including grapevines.

    Insect and mite identification and management. Iowa State University operates an insect clinic. Samples may be submitted for identification and subsequent recommendations for control of all insects or mites.     • Iowa Commercial Small Fruit and Grape Spray Guide -(annual publication).     GRAPE CULTURE

    SOIL MANAGEMENT

Samples may be submitted for analysis and subsequent recommendations for soil fertility. Instructions may be obtained through the Iowa State University, Cooperative Extension Service, or by calling 515-294-3076 (Iowa State Univ.). Dr. Paul Domoto, Extension Specialist in Fruit Crops, would interpret results and provide recommendations.
